Considered to be the most highly prized of early European beads traded into Africa.
All are excellent condition beads ~ circa 1800 ~ having genuinely smooth surfaces from their many years of usage. These early specimens are becoming increasingly more difficult to find in this type of undamaged condition -
having that special historic feel that easily distinguishes them from later production beads.
